Toledo, OH - The Toledo softball team fell to rival Bowling Green on Sunday, April 22, the second time this weekend. Only totaling three hits in the game, four costly errors did UT in, as it lost 3-1 to the visitors from down south.
The Rockets (13-31, 5-9 MAC) trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, where they tied the score on a successful double-steal attempt. With two outs in the inning, Lindsey Tobias singled up the middle, and advanced to third on base-hit by the next batter, Jillian Spink. Tobias slid past the outstretched hand of the BG catcher to tie the score at 1-1 on the double-steal.
The Falcons added two more runs in the fifth inning, however, and Toledo was unable to match them for the duration of the contest, as BG pulled out the 3-1 win.
UT will host a double-header against Youngstown on Tuesday, April 24, with the first game scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.
