TOLEDO, OH - The men's tennis team picked up two additional wins on Sunday, defeating Butler 6-1 and IUPUI 7-0. UT moves to 11-5 on the season, its best start in the past five seasons. The previous top mark was in the 2006 season when Toledo started out 9-7 through its first 16 games.
"We're proud of this team," said Head Coach Al Wermer. "They battled through sixteen indoor dual matches without much break and are learning to prepare properly and fight hard together. We're progressing as a team."
Jared Miller led UT through the weekend as the senior racked up four more wins this weekend. Miller took the No. 1 singles and doubles spots against both Butler and IUPUI.
Full results for the IUPUI match were not immediately available and will be posted once they are available.
UT will now head to its spring break trip for the Pacific Coast Championships in La Jolla, CA from March 6 through March 8.
