Toledo, Ohio - The University of Toledo softball team was defeated this afternoon by the Bowling Green Falcons 5-1 at Scott Park field.

After three innings of solid defensive play by both teams, Brittany Robbins stepped up to the plate and hit her second homer of the season in the bottom of the fourth inning to give UT a 1-0 lead

Another inning of tough defense went by before BGSU was able to make its mark on the scoreboard when the Falcons scored two runs off of a single in the top of the sixth. Then in the top of the seventh Bowling Green scored three more runs to win the game.

The Rockets finished with four hits and BGSU finished with eight. Stephanie Moore pitched five innings for the Toledo striking out four batters, only allowing two hits and no runs.

Besides Robbins, recording hits for Toledo were Brie Ford who had two and Andrea Wabol who finished with one.

The Midnight Blue and Gold will take to the field at Scott Park again on Friday, May 4 at 1 PM when they will host Western Michigan in a doubleheader.
