Toledo, Ohio - Toledo softball fell 3-0 to rival Bowling Green this afternoon in game one of a two game series. The two teams will play again tomorrow, April 29 at 1 PM.

Despite hitting seven hits to BGSU's three hits, the Rockets were unable to come up with a run in today's game. The Falcons first got on the board when their lead off hitter scored on a passed ball in the first inning.

In the bottom of the first Leslie Stong hit a single but was unable to advance any bases. BGSU then scored again in the second inning and kept the Rockets from scoring after Megan McCauley singled to left field.

In the fourth and fifth innings both teams played flawless defense going three up, three down. In the sixth inning the Falcons scored their final run off of a homerun. In the bottom of the sixth inning another Rocket recorded a hit when Lacey LeVier singled to third.

After another three up three down, Toledo came out swinging, Brie Ford singled and Stong hit a double. With a run on second and third the Rockets were unable to score.

Stephanie Moore pitched all seven innings for Toledo, recording seven strikeouts and only two walks.
