TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -Florentino Valencia had 17 points including five during a 10-0 first-half run to lead Toledo to a 64-48 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday.
Valencia hit 11-of-14 free throws as the Rockets (12-9, 8-1 Mid-American Conference) outscored Bowling Green by 13 points at the line. They were 20 of 29 to the Falcons' 7 of 15.
Jonathan Amos added 16 points off the bench and Justin Ingram had 12.
Martin Samarco had 13 points, Nate Miller 11 and Ryne Hamblet 10 for Bowling Green (11-11, 2-7).
Neither team shot well, with Toledo hitting 33 percent of its shots from the field to the Falcons' 37 percent.
Bowling Green led 15-12 midway through the first half before Valencia hit three foul shots and a layup, Ingram made a 3-pointer and Kashif Payne added a bucket inside to give the Rockets the lead for good.
They were on top 32-22 at the half and the lead never dropped below six points the rest of the way.
