West Lafayette, IN - The University of Toledo men's tennis team was defeated, 7-0, by Purdue this afternoon at the Lafayette Sports Center. With the loss the Rockets fall to 3-4 on the season.
In No. 2 doubles, the team of sophomores Tony Tran and Khalid Al Nabhani defeated the Boilermakers' Troy Havens and Saunak Chatterjee, 9-8. UT did not receive a point, as you must win at least two matches to claim the doubles point.
"Purdue played solid," Head Men's Tennis Coach Al Wermer said. "We had a good effort and if we can stay healthy we can be dangerous."
The Rockets will resume action on Sunday, February 9 as UT travels to Iowa City, IA to battle the University of Iowa. Action will start at 9:00 a.m.
