Ann Arbor, MI - The University of Toledo men's tennis team was defeated, 7-0, by Michigan this afternoon at U-M's Varsity Tennis Center. With the loss, the Rockets fall to 3-6 on the season.
In No. 2 doubles, the team of sophomores Tony Tran and Khalid Al Nabhani defeated the Wolverines' Athony Jackson and Josef Fischer, 8-4. UT did not receive a point, as a team must win at least two matches to claim the doubles point.
"We didn't play very well today," Toledo Head Men's Tennis Coach Al Wermer said. "Hopefully this is our low point of the season and we will be able to rebound for our next match."
The Rockets will return to home host Eastern Illinois on Friday, Feb. 21 at Laurel Hill Tennis Club. Action will start at 7:00 p.m.
