Softball Falls In Series Finale To Ball State, 6-0

MUNCIE, IN - Toledo (12-33-1, 1-18 MAC) dropped a 6-0 decision this afternoon at Ball State (20-19, 11-6) in the final game of a three-game series between the two schools.

Senior Colette McMasters (5-15) took the loss for the Rockets, allowing six runs (two earned) and eight hits in six innings.

The game was scoreless heading into the fourth inning when the Cardinals' Carrie Lively delivered a two-run triple. BSU added a single run in the fifth on Katie Shea's RBI triple and three in the sixth on Kris Burdine's two-run single and Janice Campbell's RBI single.

The Rockets will return home to face arch-rival Bowling Green in a single game on Wednesday, May 1 at 4:00 p.m. UT will wrap up its 2002 season at Scott Park this weekend with a three-game series vs. Eastern Michigan on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5.
