Head Coach Stan Joplin:
"We played decent in the first half and in the second half it was a complete reversal. We let things at one end of the floor affect the other. We had a scoring drought and missed some layups and free throws. Then everything started to snowball. That's been a problem for us especially on the road with a young team. We have to learn to face adversity a little bit better."
"Ball State got some easy baskets in transition and then hit some big shots. We knew they were going to make a run and had to withstand it. Ball State played very well."
On Theron Smith:
"He's a tough matchup for a lot of teams because he can go inside and outside. He can put the ball on the floor and post up. We wanted to limit his touches, but he did a nice job at the free throw line. We just fouled him too much and reacted to him instead of dictating things to him."
