Head Coach Stan Joplin:

"Two things that really stick out are that (Chris) Kaman and (Chad) Pleiness played really well. We didn't have an answer for them. I don't think we did anything special on their guards. We just wanted to play solid."

On Chris Kaman:

"He has a lot of agility and they have a lot of good spacing because you have to be concerned with Webber and the other guards. He's a load and he played very well against us."

On CMU's run at the end of the first half.

"Everybody seemed to be in foul trouble for us in the first half when they made their run. We didn't play very good defense and we allowed too much penetration which really hurt us. We had two freshmen, Kareem Milson and Jim Clement, and it was a hard game for them to play in."
