In the third game, neither team led by more than three points until the end. The Rockets closed to within 28-26 but could not get any closer.
"We did some very good things in tonight's match and had an opportunity to win," Head Coach Kent Miller said. "But we had some critical breakdowns that cost us. These are little things that we can improve on and I'm confident we'll continue to make strides to eliminate these mistakes."
Senior Lindsey Kretzmann led the Rockets with 10 kills and three blocks. Senior Theresa Estes added 11 digs, while juniors Heidi Neumeister and Jessica Buck also added three blocks.
The Rockets will travel to Muncie, IN on Saturday evening to take on Ball State in a match beginning at 7:00 p.m.
