The University of Toledo men's golf team shot a 54-hole team score of 925 and finished 12th at the Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, OH today. Host school Ohio State won the 33rd annual tournament with a two-day score of 893.
On a day where no individual shot under par, the Rockets shot the sixth-best final-round team score with their 306. Freshman Brad Heaven led the UT charge with his tournament score of 223. Heaven placed ninth overall and has now finished in the top 10 in all four spring tournaments for UT.
Sophomore Sean McTernan shot a 54-hole score of 230 and tied for 35th overall Fellow classmate Jamie Spencer tied for 56th overall with his score of 237. Junior Kevin Kornowa finished with a two-day score of 239 and freshman Cale Green rounded out the UT scoring with his tournament score of 240.
Toledo will head to Kent, OH for a final tune-up before the Mid-American Conference Championships when it plays in the First Energy Intercollegiate next Friday-Saturday, April 20-21. The MAC championships are will take place on May 2-5 in Columbus, OH.
