Baseball Falls to No. 13 Notre Dame, 6-1

NOTRE DAME, IN - Toledo (12-10) saw its five-game win streak snapped today in its 6-1 loss at No. 13 Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning off freshman LHP E.T. Ducey (1-2). Notre Dame then added two in the fourth and two in the sixth to knock Ducey out of the game.

The Rockets plated their lone run when junior CF Tony Miller singled to left field with two out. Miller then stole his team-high 17th base and scored on junior 3B Mike Meinhart's single up the middle.

Toledo (2-0 MAC) returns to action this weekend when it hosts Ball State (3-0 MAC) on Friday-Sunday, March 30-April 1. Friday's game begins at 3:00 p.m., Saturday's doubleheader at 1:00 p.m. and Sunday's finale at 2:00 p.m.
