Toledo (2-1) suffered its first loss of the season today with an 11-8 setback at Morehead State (3-2).
The Rockets jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the third when sophomore SS J.D. Foust connected on a three-run homer for the second straight game.
But the Eagles answered back with a pair in the bottom of the third and two more in the fifth to take a 5-3 advantage.
UT tied the game in the top of the sixth on Foust's RBI double and junior LF Jay Juras' RBI groundout.
MSU then exploded for five runs after two were out in the bottom of the sixth to take control of the game. The big hit for the Eagles was a two-run double from C Thad Kingsolver.
The Rockets added an unearned run in the seventh and two runs in the ninth on home runs from senior LF Andy Stetka and junior CF Tony Miller.
Foust led the Rockets offensively on the weekend with two home runs and nine RBI to go along with a .533 (8-for-15) batting average.
Toledo retuns to action next weekend when it travels to Bowling Green, KY for a three-game series with Western Kentucky on Friday-Sunday, March 2-4.
