After dropping the opening game by a 30-23 margin, the Rockets rallied from a 20-15 deficit in the second game with a 15-5 run to close out the contest.
In the third game, UT fell behind 20-13 and the closest it could come to the Bobcats was within 28-26 before Ohio posted a 30-27 victory.
The Rockets held a 27-24 advantage in the fourth game but Ohio scored the match's final six points to clinch the victory.
"Tonight was a tough match for us," Head Coach Kent Miller said. "We made some good runs at them but our breakdowns really hurt us. We'll have to come back and rebound tomorrow night. We're still in a good position to make the MAC Tournament and we need to respond with a good performance vs. Central Michigan."
Toledo returns home on Saturday, Nov. 3 to host the Chippewas in a 7:00 p.m. match at Savage Hall.
