Toledo (7-20, 4-13 MAC) saw its losing streak extended to a season-high seven matches tonight with a 3-0 (15-13, 15-8, 15-4) setback at the hands of Kent State (13-14, 10-7 MAC). With the victory, the Golden Flashes equalled a school record with their seventh straight triumph
Sophomore Bitsy Mayhle led the way for UT with 15 kills and 14 digs, while junior Theresa Estes, junior Lindsey Kretzmann, sophomore Jessica Buck and sophomore Heidi Neumeister added six kills apiece.
"We played a solid game to start out the match but a couple of runs by Kent State really hurt us," UT Head Coach Kent Miller said. "The first game was one we really had a chance to win, but we couldn't recover from that missed opportunity."
The Rockets will conclude their 2000 campaign tomorrow night when they host Central Michigan at 7:00 p.m. in Savage Hall.
