Toledo, OH - For the first time since 1993, Toledo enters the month of November out of the race for the MAC championship.

The Rockets were eliminated from contention for a third consecutive MAC West Division title when Western Michigan (6-0 MAC) defeated Akron on Saturday.

The Rockets (2-3 MAC) travel to Central Michigan this Saturday, then host Northern Illinois and WMU the following two weeks.

In addition to MAC West titles in 1997 and 1998, Toledo won the MAC regular season title in 1995, was eliminated in the next-to-last game of the 1996 season and was knocked out by CMU on Nov. 5 of 1994.
