Junior Cassie Alcala is Toledo's Female Athlete of the Week after helping the Rockets pick up two wins over the weekend. Toledo extended its winning streak to four matches and improve to 11-3, 3-0 MAC.
Alcala clinched both match points from the No. 1 singles court to improve her individual winning streak to four matches. Alcala trailed in the beginning of both of her sets vs. NIU's Erika Dimitriev but came back to win each set by a 6-2 decision, her first two-set victory since Feb. 10. Alcala then went to hand Ball State's Mariya Polishchuck her first loss of the season en route to taking down the defending MAC Champions.
Alcala has won her last nine conference matches dating back to last April.
