Joe Kucinich is in his fourth year as student manager with the women's basketball team.

Kucinich's responsibilities include providing administrative assistance to the coaches and players throughout the season, helping with opponent film exchange, equipment and court preparation.

A native of Amherst, OH, Kucinich was a three-year letterwinner in golf (1994, `95 and `97) and was a two-year letterwinner in baseball (1997-98) at Marion L. Steele H.S. where he graduated in 1998. An avid golfer, Kucinich has caddied in three LPGA events (Jamie Farr Kroger Classic (2003, '04), State Farm Rail Classic) for LPGA members Karen Davies and Jinnie Lee. An avid philanthropist, Kucinich has raised money for multiple sclerosis. He is currently a senior enrolled in the College of Business, with a double major in information systems and marketing.

Kucinich's uncle, Dennis J. Kucinich, is a democratic Congressman for the state of Ohio in the 10th District (Cleveland) and is running for the President of the United States in the 2004 election. He is the former mayor of the city of Cleveland from 1977-79.
