Home matchups against Michigan State and Cincinnati highlight non-conference slate
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball program has finalized its 2026-27 non-conference basketball schedule, head coach Ginny Boggess announced on Monday.
The Rockets' non-conference schedule totals 14 games, featuring two games against Power 4 opponents – Michigan State and Cincinnati - in Savage Arena. Toledo will play eight home games, four road games and two games in a neutral-site tournament in the Bahamas.
"We're excited to officially unveil our non-conference schedule," said Boggess, who is entering her third season leading the Rockets. "Matchups against programs like Michigan State and Cincinnati are tremendous opportunities to compete against outstanding teams in front of our amazing fans. Our goal is to measure ourselves early and prepare for the demands of MAC play. We believe our schedule strikes a great balance of high-level competition and opportunities to continue building confidence and chemistry. We're looking forward to welcoming Rocket fans back to Savage Arena for another exciting season."
Toledo's marquee games of the non-conference slate will be home games against Michigan State on Nov. 7 and Cincinnati on Dec. 6, marking the Rockets' first home games against power-conference opponents since December 2023. Michigan State reached the second round of the 2026 NCAA Tournament as a No. 5 seed and was ranked No. 22 in the final AP poll.

LA Tech won the Conference USA regular-season championship last year and reached the WBIT. The February matchup will be announced in January based on NET rankings. Toledo is 5-1 in the MAC-SBC Challenge, which will be played for the fourth year in 2026-27.
Just before Thanksgiving, the Rockets will head to the Bahamas and face two opponents at the Baha Mar Classic. Games will be played on Nov. 23 and Nov. 25, with opponents TBD.
