Hanamichi Carvajal earns his first singles win of the season
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's tennis team fell to Western Michigan in a Mid-American Conference matchup, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the UT Varsity Tennis Courts.
Toledo picked up its two points in singles play. Senior Hanamichi Carvajal tallied a straight-set win on the No. 2 singles court, marking his first victory of the season as Lucas Britez rolled to a 6-4, 6-1 win on the No. 3 court.
Junior Cole Cozens and freshman Pannawat Suttisomboon battled in three-set matches on the No. 4 and 6 courts, respectively, but came up short as Western Michigan earned wins on four of the six singles courts as well as the doubles point to take the match victory.
