Eli Enriquez becomes the fifth Rocket to score 100 career runs on Friday
BOSTON, Mass. – The Toledo softball team split a doubleheader with UMass to kick off road play in the Mid-American Conference on Friday afternoon. UT fell in game one, 7-6, before earning a 9-1 win in six innings in the final contest of the day.
Eli Enriquez made program history in the first game as she scored two runs to surpass 100 career runs. She becomes just the fifth Rocket in history to score more than 100 runs.
In game two, the Toledo offense exploded for eight runs in the final two innings of play on 14 hits, a mark that ties its season-best. Sophomore Audrey Miller knocked in a season-high five RBIs while going 3-for-4 at the plate. Payton Pudlowski chipped in two RBIs while four other Rockets turned in multi-hit outings during the contest.
Katie McDonald threw her fourth complete game of the season, tossing 6.0 innings and allowing just one run on five hits. This is her fifth win of her junior campaign.
In game one, UT faced a 6-2 deficit before scoring four runs in the third and fourth innings to even the score. UMass took the win with a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh. The Rockets recorded 11 hits as each member of the starting lineup tallied at least one hit in the game, led by Miller, Enriquez and Aubrey Hensley with two hits each. McDonald earned the start in the circle, tossing 2.0 innings before Mady Yackee threw 4.1 innings of relief.

Game One
- UMass got on the board first with an RBI single in the bottom of the first, 1-0.
- UT responded in the top of the second as Payton Pudlowski scored on a wild pitch to even the game, 1-1. The Minutewomen added four runs in the bottom of the frame to regain the lead, 5-1.
- Audrey Miller sent a run home with a single in the top of the third, 5-2.
- Toledo plated three runs in the fourth to get within one, 6-5. Aubrey Hensley sent the tying run home in the fifth to even the game, 6-6.
- UMass blasted a solo home run to win on a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh, 7-6.
- Miller got the scoring started in the third with an RBI double, 1-0.
- The Rockets plated four runs in the top of the fifth with RBIs from Samantha Bolding, Miller and Pudlowski, 5-0.
- UT added four more runs in the top of the sixth behind RBIs from Miller, Pudlowski and Alexis Shepherd.
- UMass tallied its lone run in the bottom of the sixth, but two quick putouts from the Rockets defense closed the door.
