Spring sports continue conference play as track & field begins outdoor portion of season
MEN'S GOLF
Monday-Wednesday, March 16-18 / at Pauma Valley Invitational / Pauma Valley, Calif. / Live Scoring
Men's Golf is competing against the nation's best this week at Loyola Marymount's Pauma Valley Invitational in Pauma Valley, Calif. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Toledo will be competing at the par-71, 7,311 Pauma Valley Country Club, which is considered one of the Top 100 golf courses in the United States. The tournament field is highlighted by six of the nation's top 10 teams and nine of the top 20. The top 10 teams competing are No. 2 Virginia, No. 3 Florida, No. 6 LSU, No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Illinois, and No. 10 Texas Tech. Senior Bence Kotel is leading the Rockets with a 71.85 stroke average.

Softball is heading to Amherst, Mass. for its first Mid-American Conference road series of the season. The Rockets earned a series win over Ohio this past weekend, posting a 7-6 victory on Saturday and a 10-6 win in the series finale on Sunday. Audrey Miller led the offense with a .600 average at the plate, while Katie McDonald held it down in the circle by earning two wins in two appearances.

Men's Tennis continues its road swing with a pair of matches in Illinois this week, taking on UIC on Thursday and Northern Illinois on Saturday. The Rockets fell to Buffalo in a tightly-contested match this past weekend, 4-3. Poonthong Komolpisut and Cole Cozens tallied singles victories on the No. 2 and 5 courts, respectively. The match came down to a hard-fought battle on the No. 1 singles court as Hanamichi Carvajal fell in a three-set match.
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD

Track & Field opens up the outdoor portion of the season at the Blizzard Buster in Oxford, Ohio on Friday. The Rockets are coming off of a fourth-place finish in the 2026 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championship. The team tallied 11 podium finishes throughout the meet, including two individual champions. Melody Jebiwot won the 5000m event with a time of 16:03.46, while Dorcas Kiptanui earned the individual title in the mile with a mark of 4:45.37.

Toledo won 2-of-3 in a series with Northern Illinois over the weekend, with victories of 21-5 on Friday and 17-2 on Sunday, both in seven innings. The offense exploded for its two highest run totals this season and hit five home runs on Sunday.

Women's Tennis continues MAC play with a road matchup at Eastern Michigan on Sunday. The Rockets earned a 5-2 win over 2025 MAC Champion Miami last Friday before battling to a 4-3 win over Northern Illinois on Sunday to wrap up the first weekend of conference competition. Sophomore Annika Munson secured match point over the Huskies with a three-set win on the No. 5 singles court. Sophomore JJ Scholten had a strong start of MAC competition, posting wins over both opponents on the No. 1 singles court.
