The Flyers' offense gave UD a big lead early, scoring four runs in the first and five runs in the second inning. After Toledo put up a three-spot in the third, Dayton extended its margin to a dozen with two runs each in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

The Rockets extended the game with five runs in the seventh inning, UT's second inning of at least five runs this season (4th inning at Memphis, Feb. 13), but the Flyers finished the game off with three scores in the bottom of the inning.

Catcher Ty O'Brien homered, doing so in the first at-bat of his career. He is the first player to homer in his first career at-bat since Wyatt O'Brien on May 1, 2021. Four Rockets recorded multi-hit games.
