TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team claimed its second sweep of a Mid-American Conference series, capping the regular season with a dominant 16-4, seven-inning victory over Central Michigan at Scott Park on Saturday.

The Rockets (28-27, 17-13 MAC) once again scored early and often, breaking a 2-2 tie with four runs in the third inning and adding six more in the fifth to cruise to a fifth-straight victory to end the regular season. The Rockets totaled 16 hits and bashed five home runs, scoring 48 runs for the weekend. Toledo finished 12-3 in its final 15 MAC games, winning all five series in that span.

How It Happened
- Luke Walton crushed a two-run home run for a 2-0 lead in the second, before CMU responded with back-to-back home runs in the third to tie the score at 2-2.
- The Rockets quickly responded in the third to take a 6-2 lead. After Troy Sudbrook's RBI double, Cole Cahill and Walton produced back-to-back homers.
- The Rockets batted around and struck for six runs in the fourth for a 12-2 advantage. Toledo scored five different times, on RBI singles by Caden Konczak and Sudbrook, a two-run double by Cahill, a Walton sac fly and a Luke Leto RBI double.
- The Rockets scored another run in the fifth and three more in the sixth to go ahead 16-2, with Kaleb Herbert and Leto each tagging home runs in that stretch.
