TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team split a doubleheader with Akron in two 1-0 decisions , taking the first game of the day before Akron took the second at Scott Park on Sunday.

The Rockets (10-20, 5-10 MAC) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and held on to capture the first game, but the Zips (9-22, 3-12 MAC) scored the second game's only run in the sixth inning to take the rubber match of the weekend sereis.

How It Happened
Game 1
- Troy Sudbrook singled to left field to put the Rockets up 1-0.
- The Zips loaded the bases with two outs in the sixth, but Braden Curry came in for the strikeout to preserve the lead.
- Akron put runners on first and second with two outs in the ninth, but Curry rallied for a strikeout swinging to end the game.
Game 2
- After Akron put runners on first and second, two wild pitches put the Zips ahead 1-0 in the sixth.
- Toledo threatened by putting two on with one out in the eighth, but the rally ended with a flyout and a groundout.
