Jackson Bergman shuts down the Zips to pick up the win in Game One
TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team split a doubleheader with Akron in two 1-0 decisions , taking the first game of the day before Akron took the second at Scott Park on Sunday.
The Rockets (10-20, 5-10 MAC) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning and held on to capture the first game, but the Zips (9-22, 3-12 MAC) scored the second game's only run in the sixth inning to take the rubber match of the weekend sereis.

"We continue to pitch the ball extremely well. Our pitching staff has done a magnificent job of keeping us in games and giving us a chance to win. We have to find a way to produce runs."

Toledo plays its first home midweek contest of the season on Wednesday, April 9 against Purdue Fort Wayne. The Rockets and Mastodons will begin at 3:00 p.m.
