TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team scored early and often in a 14-2 drubbing of Mercyhurst at Scott Park on Tuesday.

The Rockets (19-25) scored all of their season-high14 of their runs, a season high, in the second through the fifth innings, including five runs each in the fourth and fifth frames.
Yianni Skeriotis shut down the Lakers (12-30) over five innings to allow the Rockets to build the lead.

How It Happened
- The Rockets took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the second, as Luke Leto's bunt single combined with a throwing error sent home two runs and Josh Cote brought home Leto on an RBI groundout.
- Leto drove home another run in the third on an RBI single.
- Toledo broke the game open with a five-run fourth. Troy Sudbrook (double), Charlie Scholvin (single) and Cole Cahill (double) each supplied RBI hits before Leto capped off the scoring with a three-run home run.
- The Rockets scored five more in the fifth to go up 14-1, beginning with a Caden Konczak two-run single. Later in the inning, Luke Leto and Josh Cote drew back-to-back walks and Cam Gravelle drove home the final two runs of the inning with an RBI single.
