TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team reached its first extra-inning game of the season, but were victimized by a late East Tennessee State rally, 8-4 at Scott Park on Friday.
Â
The Rockets (17-24) grabbed an early 3-0 lead, but the Buccaneers (29-11) rallied to take a 4-3 lead, before a Rocket run in the sixth stood to force extra innings. However, a four-run 10th inning by ETSU proved to be the difference.

Quoting Head Coach Rob Reinstetle
"Tough game today. The final score is not indicative of what happened. Defense was optional on both sides. We gave them four runs and they gave us four. They got a few good swings in the 10th that won them the game. ETSU is a good team. We have to bounce back and play hard tomorrow."
