Toledo plays sixth game against a Big Ten opponent this season
TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo baseball team travels south for a midweek matchup against Ohio State on Wednesday, April 23. First pitch against the Buckeyes will be at 6:00 p.m. on B1G+. The Rockets will then play East Tennessee State at Scott Park in a weekend series on April 25-27, with the games set for 3:00 p.m. on Friday and 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday on ESPN+.
Toledo (16-23, 10-11 MAC) captured its third MAC series this season after sweeping Western Michigan last week. Logan Jones and Jacob Tabor combined for Toledo's third shutout of the season on Thursday. Jackson Bergman pitched 6.0 innings on Friday, giving up only two runs on three hits with three strikeouts. Nathan Leininger pitched 3.0 innings with one run, one hit, one walk, and four strikeouts on Saturday. Kaleb Herbert led the offense, going 5-for-12, with a .563 on-base percentage, two RBIs, a run scored, a double, and three walks.
