BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Toledo softball team fell to No. 24-ranked Florida Atlantic, 13-0, in five innings on Wednesday evening in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Rockets (5-9) fell victim to early runs and recorded only three hits against a strong pitching effort from FAU. The Owls scored in each frame, including four runs in the first inning and six in the third, on their way to the victory.

Senior second baseman Sidney Griffith extended her hitting streak to five games with an infield single. Freshman Samantha Bolding appeared as a pinch-hitter, knocking a single to the shortstop in the fourth.
