CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team got two home runs from
Luke Leto, but it wasn't enough as the Rockets dropped a 7-5 decision at Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Â
The Rockets (4-7) tied the game with Leto's two-run home run in the second and cut the deficit to 6-5 with another two-run shot in the eighth. However, the Bearcats (6-6) scored twice each in the first, third and fifth innings, which proved to be the difference.
Â
Quoting Head Coach Rob Reinstetle:
"We played a good game today, but just didn't make enough pitches or get enough hits when we needed them. The margin for winning or losing is very small. We're in a good spot going into MAC play and we've seen the formula for success."
