TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team fell to Ohio, 16-4, in seven innings, in the 2025 home opener at Scott Park on Friday.

The Rockets (6-14, 2-5 MAC) fell behind as the Bobcats (6-14, 2-5 MAC) built their lead by putting up crooked numbers in the second, fourth, fifth and sixth innings, including five runs each in the second and sixth.

How It Happened
- Ohio scored five times in the second on three hits, a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly.
- Caden Konczak's two-run home run and Brayden White's sacrifice fly in the third cut the deficit to 5-3.
- The Bobcats plated two more on a sacrifice play and RBI single to take a 7-3 lead in the fourth inning.
- Ben Slanker's three-run home run and an RBI double gave the Bobcats a four-spot in the fifth inning for an 11-3 advantage.
- After a Rocket run, Ohio scored five more times to take a 16-4 lead in the sixth. Two runs came across on bases-loaded walks.
