HIGH POINT, N.C. –The Toledo baseball team dropped the first of a three-game series, 10-4 to High Point at Williard Stadium Saturday afternoon.Â
The Rockets (1-4) fell behind early, with the Panthers (6-0) scoring six runs in the first inning followed by three more in the second to build a 9-1 lead, which was more than enough to secure the victory.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Panthers scored six runs in the first on three RBI singles, a bases-loaded walk and a sacrifice fly for a 6-0 lead.Â
- Charlie Scholvin's single coupled with an error led to Toledo's first run of the game in the top of the second.Â
- A two-run home run and an RBI double gave High Point a 9-1 lead in the bottom of the second.Â
- Cole Cahill plated Luke Walton in the top of the third on an RBI single.Â
- Walton had an RBI double in the 7th inning to cut the lead to 10-4 and close the scoring.Â
