TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's basketball team will head across the state line for a Mid-American Conference matchup with Central Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 11. The Rockets and Chippewas will tip off at 1:00 p.m. with streaming on ESPN+.

The Rockets (10-3, 2-1 MAC) are coming off of a 70-59 win against Kent State at Savage Arena on Wednesday night. The Rockets led by 12 after a quarter and pushed the lead to as much as 20 in the second half. Toledo got 12 points from
Khera Goss, 11 from
Jessica Cook and 10 points paired with nine rebounds from
Destiny Robinson, both career highs for the freshman.

The Chippewas (5-9, 1-2 MAC) are coming off of their first conference win of the season in a 47-46 nailbiter with Miami on Wednesday. CMU came back from a nine-point halftime deficit for the home victory. Madi Morson scored 11 points to lead the Chippewas along with six rebounds, with Jess Lawson adding eight points and nine boards.

Toledo leads the all-time series 56-36 and has a narrow 23-21 edge on the road. The Rockets have won five games in a row overall, including four-straight times in Mt Pleasant.

Fresh Faces Stepping Up
- Toledo has seen significant contributions from its freshmen in the past several games.
- Against Akron, Faith Fedd-Robinson lit up the scoreboard with 17 points and five rebounds. The Newark native scored 16 points and shot 6-of-7 from the field in the first half.
- Fedd-Robinson marked her third game this season scoring at least 15 points against UA.
- Against Kent State on Wednesday, Destiny Robinson made her first career start and delivered a season high with 10 points and nine rebounds. She added three assists, two steals and a blocked shot to her totals.
- Evalyse Cole delivered 14 solid minutes off the bench against the Golden Flashes, with six points, three assists and two rebounds.
Rockets on the Road
- Toledo is 2-1 in true road games and 4-2 overall away from home this season.
- UT has won true road games over Navy, 58-51 on Nov. 30 and Akron, 74-54 on Jan. 4.
- Toledo has not lost a road or neutral game to a team currently ranked outside the AP Top 25. UT's defeats are to current No. 23 Iowa and No. 8 Maryland.
