Rockets sit in fifth place in team standings
URBANA, Ill. – Senior Jamie Tofte Nielsen is tied for 13th place and leading the Toledo's men's golf team following Saturday's two rounds of the Fighting Illini Spring Collegiate. The Rockets are in fifth place in the standings at the par-71, 7,503-yard Atkins Golf Club.
Senior Barend Botha is one shot behind Nielsen and tied for 20th place at six-over par 148 (73-75).
Sophomore Mads Jensen (T-28th/76-74=150) and junior CJ van Wyk (T-28th/74-76=150) are tied for 28th place, while senior Palmer Yenrick (T-33rd/74-77=151) is tied for 33rd.
No. 18 Illinois leads the 12-team field at four-over par 572, 14 shots in front of Northwestern. The Fighting Illini's Max Herendeen and Ryan Voois are tied for first place at two-under 140.
The third and final round of the tournament will begin tomorrow morning.
