TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's golf program enjoyed a 2022-23 season that saw the Rockets etch numerous entries into the program's 28-year record book and register improvement throughout the roster.
"This was a year to remember for many reasons," Head Coach
Jenny Coluccio said. "Our team marked up our record book in many ways and really leaned into each other and our culture. Teams are successful when they commit to the details of practice, performance and relationships. We also had a key consistent player in Macy throughout the year. Every round but one was counted for in our team total, and that is a type of consistency a lot of coaches dream to have."
Coluccio also said she was impressed with how her team grew off the course.
"Our ladies' development as people is what we are most proud of from the year," Coluccio said. "Truly leaning into their strengths and using them to their best advantage was great to see."
Highlighting the season for Toledo was a school-record 54-hole three-over par 867 at the Falcon Florida Classic on Feb. 6-7. During that tournament, the Rockets also tied for their fourth-best round ever with a two-under par 286 in the first round and their ninth-best ever with a one-over par 289 in the third round.
