TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo men's basketball team will be holding an open practice and intrasquad scrimmage in Savage Arena on Saturday, Oct. 7.  The Rockets will practice from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by their scrimmage from 11:00 a.m.-noon.

Fans attending the practice and scrimmage will need to purchase a guest parking permit for $5.75 plus a service fee at parkutoledo.com and enter off Douglas Road to park in Lot 3 or Lot 4.
 
Parking in Lots 1, 2, 5, 6 and 10 will not be available for fans on Saturday due to the Bands of America Championships event being held in the Glass Bowl.

Toledo's 2023-24 season gets underway on Saturday, Oct. 21 in Savage Arena with an exhibition contest vs. Ferris State. The Rockets will then play at Findlay University on Sunday, Oct. 29 in a second exhibition contest.
 
Toledo opens its regular season with two home games vs. Detroit Mercy on Monday, Nov. 6 and Louisiana on Saturday, Nov. 11. Both games will tip off at 7:00 p.m.

The Rockets made history last year under 2022-23 MAC Coach of the Year Tod Kowalczyk by becoming the first current MAC school to win three consecutive outright league titles. The Rockets tied a school record with their 27-8 overall mark and also posted a 16-2 ledger in league play.  Toledo has posted a 74-35 record over the last three years with its 74 victories ranking 13^th in the nation during this stretch.

UT returns the junior starting guard tandem of Dante Maddox Jr. and Ra'Heim Moss as well as junior Tyler Cochran, junior Andre Lorentsson and redshirt freshman Javan Simmons. Five freshmen are joining the team, along with William & Mary transfer Ben Wight (10.9 ppg, 5.2 apg).
