Rockets tied for fifth in the MAC Standings entering Week 10 of the season

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team looks to secure a place in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament with two very important games on deck. Toledo (7-6-2, 4-3-1 MAC) will visit Buffalo on Thursday, Oct. 19 before returning to Paul Hotmer Field for the final home game of the regular season vs. Kent State on Sunday, Oct. 22.

Toledo is tied for fifth in the MAC standings with Northern Illinois (6-6-2, 4-3-1 MAC). The top six teams punch a ticket into the first round for the tournament beginning on Sunday, Oct. 29.

Mental Health Awareness Game

Last Time Out
Toledo tied a program record with its fourth consecutive shutout vs. Eastern Michigan (3-0) on Thursday, before having its four-game winning streak snapped by Miami, 2-1, on Sunday. Sophomore Kaema Amachree led the Rockets' offense with two goals and now has a career-high five goals this year. Senior Grace Turski has a team-high five assists (second in MAC) three coming in the last three games. Redshirt freshman Brielle Young recorded her fifth shutout of the season vs. the Eagles and leads the conference keepers with 65 saves while allowing an average of 1.040 goals (third in MAC) by UT's opponents.

Toledo ranks third in the league with 25 goals, averaging 1.667 goals per game.

Scouting the Competition
Buffalo (6-3-6, 3-2-3 MAC) is sixth in the conference standings and is looking for a spot in the postseason following a 2-0 victory vs. NIU and a draw against Bowling Green last weekend. Katie Krohn leads all players in the league with 12 goals.

Kent State (8-5-2, 5-3-0 MAC) is fourth in the league standings after last week's 2-0 shutout over Bowling Green and 2-1 loss to Northern Illinois. The Golden Flashes are averaging 1.333 goals per game, led by Alisa Arthur who has put six in goal this year.
