AKRON, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Akron in the Rockets' final match of the 2025 season on Wednesday afternoon.
Toledo (4-8-6, 1-7-4 MAC), trailed 1-0 after conceding to Akron (5-9-4, 2-7-3 MAC) in the 13th minute, but kept things to just a one-goal game heading into halftime. Making her second start of the season in goal,
Paige Dornheggen saved three straight Akron shots to close out the half. The Zips' offense picked up the pace in the second half however, scoring two goals in the last 30 minutes.Â
Akron held the advantage in shots 17-8, shots on goal 8-6 and corners 6-4.
