BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Toledo men's tennis team came out on the losing side of a 4-1 decision vs. Indiana at the IU Tennis Building in Bloomington, Ind. on Sunday. The decision left the Rockets with a split in their 2023 opening weekend, after capturing a 7-0 home victory vs. Boston University on Saturday.

Al Wermer said." In singles, we did a tremendous job of extending the match and momentum shifted to us after about two hours. But then we just dropped a tiny bit, and they clinched the match at four points."
The Hoosiers captured the first doubles victory from the No. 2 court, then secured the doubles team point from the No. 1 court to take a 1-0 match lead.
Indiana won the first singles court in a two-set decision from the No. 4 court.
Pawit Sornlaksup then picked up the win for the Rockets in a quick 6-1, 6-3 decision from the No. 1 court. The Hoosiers jumped ahead in the match, 3-1, after collecting the No. 6 singles point in a two-set decision. Indiana's Luka Vukovic secured the fourth and final point for the Hoosiers in a two-set close decision from the No. 2 spot. No. 3

Marko Galic were in the middle of their second sets, but their matches were ruled unfinished.
Toledo will stay on the road for its next match as it travels to No. 2 Ohio State on Thursday, Jan. 19. First serve between the Rockets and Buckeyes is set for 5:00 p.m.
