FULLERTON, Calif. – The Toledo women's tennis team close out its non-conference schedule and spring break trip with a 5-2 setback at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday.
Toledo (10-3) will begin Mid-American Conference play on Sunday, March 20 at Eastern Michigan. The Rockets and Eagles will play at the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti, Mich. at 1:00 p.m.
Fullerton got out to a hot start, securing the doubles point over Toledo with victories on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts.

Laura Morera were trailing 5-2 when their match was ruled unfinished.
Sophomores
Cassie Alcala won the No. 1 court in two sets, while
Julia Kuszynski won a three-set victory on the No. 3 court. The Titans won the bottom three courts and the No. 2 court to win the match.
"We lost to a very good outdoor team today" head coach
Tracy Mauntler said. "Fullerton played us tough and exposed some things we need to work on. I expect my players to be motivated by this loss because they are true competitors.
Cassie Alcala completely dominated up at No. 1 singles and
Julia Kuszynski grinded out her best win so far this season."
"I still feel like we are continuing to improve," Mauntler said.
