DEKALB, Ill. – The Toledo men's tennis team opened Mid-American Conference play on Friday afternoon with a 6-1 road victory over Northern Illinois.
Toledo came out strong in doubles competition, winning all three courts by a 6-4 margin.

"We're 1-0 and that's about all I can say now," head coach
Al Wermer said. "We played solid and together today, but we need to keep pushing and getting better."Â
Toledo (8-5, 1-0 MAC) will head to Kalamazoo, Mich. for its next MAC matchup on Sunday, March 13 vs. Western Michigan. First serve in the Sorensen Courts/ West Hills Athletic Club is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
