COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Toledo men's golf team posted a 14^th-place finish following Sunday's final round at Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate. The tournament was played at the par-71, 7,455-yard Scarlet Course.

Freshman Barend Botha paced the Rockets in today's play as well as the tournament, tying for 40^th place at nine-over par 222 after carding a one-over par 73 in the final round.

Sophomore Palmer Yenrick finished two strokes behind Botha at 11-over par 224 and tied for 48^th place.

The remainder of Toledo's lineup included junior David Amm (T-73^rd/231), sophomore NJ Botha (80^th/233) and junior Muhammed Afif Mohd Fathi (T-81^st/234). Freshman Jamie Tofte Nielsen competed as an individual and tied for 69^th place at 229.

No. 8 Illinois captured the tournament title by posting a seven-over par 859, five strokes ahead of second-place Penn State. Kent State's Cade Breitenstine earned medalist honors with a three-under par 210.

Toledo will return to action next weekend when it travels to Fort Wayne, Ind. for the Mid-American Conference Championships on Friday-Saturday, April 30-May 1.
