TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's soccer team will hit the road for a pair of games this week at Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan. The Rockets will face the Eagles on Thursday, March 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. Joe's Sports Dome in Livonia, Mich. Toledo will then head to Kalamazoo, Mich. on Sunday, March 21 to battle the Broncos at 2:00 p.m. in Waldo Stadium.

ABOUT TOLEDO
The Rockets (0-3) are looking to bounce back from a pair of one-goal home setbacks to Northern Illinois (2-1 in OT) and Central Michigan (2-1). Sophomore

Currie leads Toledo with eight shots, including a team-best five on goal. Boutorwick has started all three games for the Rockets in net and has a 1.98 goals-against average and .684 save percentage.
SCOUTING EASTERN MICHIGAN
Eastern Michigan brings a 2-1-0 record into Thursday's games with wins over Central Michigan (2-1) and Northern Illinois (3-0) and a 4-0 loss at Western Michigan. Senior Sabrina McNeill has been the Eagles' top attacker with a team-high two goals, 10 shots and seven shots on goal this season. Senior Chelsea Abbotts has served as the Eagles' primary goalkeeper and possesses a 2-1-0 win-loss mark and a .643 save percentage.
ROCKETS VS. EMU
Toledo holds a 16-12-1 advantage over Eastern Michigan in their all-time series history. The Rockets have won the last three meetings between the two teams, including a 6-1 win in 2019 in Toledo and a 4-3 (OT) triumph in Ypsilanti in 2018.
SCOUTING WESTERN MICHIGAN
Western Michigan is 2-0-1 with victories over Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois and a 0-0 (OT) draw at Ball State. The Broncos have yet to allow a goal this season and will play at Central Michigan on Thursday. Junior Hannah Sargent (2-0-0) and senior Maggie Rogers (0-0-1) have split time at goalkeeper playing 148:53 and 141:07, respectively. Junior Suzuna Shibukawa and freshman Kayla Welchel have each scored two goals apiece to lead the WMU attack.
ROCKETS VS. WMU
Toledo trails in its all-time series vs. Western Michigan by a 9-15-3 margin and have dropped a pair of one-goal decisions in the last two meetings.
2021 SPRING SCHEDULE
Due to COVID-19 and moving their fall season to the spring the Rockets will be playing only 10 conference games. The Mid-American Conference has split its 12-member league into East and West divisions. Toledo will play each team in the West (BSU, EMU, CMU, NIU and WMU) at home and on the road. The winners of each division will meet on April 17 for the MAC Championship game at a location to be determined.

The Rockets will finish off their three-match road trip with a visit to DeKalb, Ill. for a rematch against Northern Illinois on Sunday, March 28. Â The Huskies posted a 2-1 (OT) victory over Toledo on March 7.
