Two First-Half Goals Cost Rockets at UC Davis

DAVIS, Calif. - In a hot Friday night match in California, the Toledo women's soccer team found itself on the wrong side of scoreboard as the Rockets (2-4-0) fell 3-1 to UC Davis (4-2-0). The Rockets would score their only goal of the match in the 83rd minute when freshman Stephanie Currie was able to send a long cross into the box and sophomore Tatiana Woodworth was able to finish it into the back of the net.

The Rockets were playing catch-up with Ags from the start, as UC Davis got on the board in the sixth minute of the game and never let up. The Ags added a second goal 20 minutes later when Monet Kunz collected a cross from Bryanna Duckett and snuck it past junior Madison Perrin to put UC Davis up 2-0. The Rockets were able to hold their opponents to seven shots for the remainder of the half and keep the score at 2-0 going into the break.

Coming out of the break, the Ags added their third marker in the 56th minute when the Rockets had a dangerous turnover in their defensive third and Casey Palmer was able to send one to the back of the net from just outside the 18.
