Rockets Travel to California for Two Weekend Matches

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's soccer team will travel to California for two matches this weekend. The Rockets will take on UC Davis on Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. EST and Sacramento State on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 5 p.m. EST.

"We are looking forward to traveling to the west coast to play two strong teams in UC Davis and Sacramento State," said head coach TJ Buchholz. "With so many of our players from California, it is nice to make a trip out there as a team to play in front of our west coast fans."

OPENING XI
  • The Rockets have never met UC Davis or Sacramento State in their 24-year history.
  • The Rockets are coming off of an undefeated weekend, scoring eight goals in two games.
  • Junior Sophia Lewis added another assist to her stat line against Wright State, recording her 11th career assist. She is four assists away from the fifth-most career assists in program history.
  • Madison Perrin moved into fourth in program history with career wins (20) after Sunday's win.
  • Sheridan Bufe, Stephanie Currie, Abby Demboski, and Madison Medalle each scored their second career goals against Wright State.
  • Alex Troy recorded her second career assist against Wright State, assisting Demboski on the fourth goal of the match.
  • With seven saves this season, Perrin is fourth in Toledo history for career saves.
  • Sophomore Ashton Cassel recorded her fifth career assist against Wright State, setting Sheridan Bufe up for her second career goal.
  • This will be the Rockets' first Friday night match this season.
  • UC Davis is coming off of a 3-0 loss to Oregon State this past Sunday.
  • Sacramento State is coming out of the weekend with a win and a tie, but will have one more game against San Jose State on Thursday before they play Toledo on Sunday.
