Toledo, Ohio — The Toledo baseball team will face a pair of Ohio foes this week when it hosts Dayton on Tuesday and travels to Youngstown State on Wednesday.
Tuesday's home game is scheduled for a 3:05 p.m. start and will be available locally on BCSN, while also being streamed live on ESPN+. Wednesday's game at Youngstown State will start at 5:00 p.m. As always, follow along on Twitter atÂ

- Darryn Davis is hitting .363, tops among all freshmen in the MAC.
- Michael Jacob has thrown 51.1 innings this season, most among all MAC pitchers.
- The Rockets are in the middle of a stretch of playing 15 of 16 games in the state of Ohio, starting on March 22 and ending April 17. The lone non-Ohio game during this period was last week's midweek contest at Michigan.
- Brad Boss has been the team's leading hitter over the last 10 games: .409/.469/.659, 11 RBIs, seven extra-base hits.
Scouting the Competition
Dayton enters Tuesday's game with a record of 17-13-1, having recently completed a series sweep of St. Bonaventure. The Flyers own a 7-2 record in Atlantic 10 Conference play and a 4-4 mark against MAC teams. Benjamin Blackwell leads the team with a .317 batting average, while Eddie Pursinger has been UD's power threat with a team-high six home runs and a .462 slugging percentage. On the mound, Dayton has a 4.60 team ERA and has struck out 240 batters while walking 112.
Youngstown State is currently 7-24 and will play at Penn State on Tuesday before hosting the Rockets. The Penguins lost their first 14 games of the season, though 10 of those came against highly-ranked Mississippi State and Florida State, as well as MAC leader Miami. They're hitting .214 as a team and opponents are hitting .314 against them. Jeff Wehler, Blaze Glenn, and Trevor Wiersma all have a team-best four home runs, and Glenn leads with 22 RBIs. YSU has a team ERA of 7.91 and has walked 171 batters while striking out 179.
