The Rockets visited MAC foe Ohio this past weekend, and dropped two out of three to the Bobcats.
Friday night, UT lost 16-5 to OU. Toledo scored the first run of the game in the top of the first on an RBI single from sophomore Trace Hatfield. Ohio, however, put together three big offensive innings in its victory, scoring five runs in the third, four in the fifth, and five in the sixth. OU tacked on another two runs in the bottom of the eighth, while UT added four in the top of the ninth.
In Saturday's doubleheader, UT never led in game one, and did not score its first runs of the game until the ninth inning. Game two was a different story as the Rockets took an early lead over the Bobcats. After Ohio took the lead for the middle innings, Toledo scored nine runs over the final four frames of the game to reach double digits and secure the victory.
