Wilmington, N.C.— The Toledo baseball team's spring break trip rolls along this week with a two-game series at UNC-Wilmington on Tuesday and Wednesday. First pitch for both games is at 4:00 p.m.

The Rockets won game one of the twin bill, 13-5, pounding out 19 hits to defeat the Wildcats. Senior pitcher Michael Jacob was sensational, throwing seven shutout innings with a career-high 13 strikeouts, and sophomore outfielder John Servello went 4-for-5 with a career-high six RBIs, including a grand slam.

UT dropped game two of the doubleheader, 11-5, and lost a close game on Sunday by a score of 3-2. Trailing 2-1, freshman Ryan Thompson smacked his first career home run in the top of the seventh to tie the game at 2-2. But Davidson retaliated with a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth to pull away with a one-run win and take the series.

UNC-Wilmington is 6-6 entering Tuesday's game, having recently won two out of three against Valparaiso. The Seahawks are hitting .247 and are averaging 5.3 runs per game in the early going. Doug Angeli (.389 batting average, .511 on-base percentage), Cole Weiss (.326 batting average, 13 RBIs), and Greg Jones (15 walks, eight stolen bases, .491 on-base percentage) are the team's leaders at the plate.
